Our Mission
At Impact Circle Cameroon (ICGE), our mission is to foster sustainable development and deliver humanitarian support across Cameroon. We aim to:
- Combat poverty and enhance food security by empowering communities through sustainable agricultural practices and capacity building.
- Preserve the environment and safeguard natural resources by promoting eco-friendly practices, such as agroforestry, and protecting critical ecosystems.
- Promote social entrepreneurship to empower individuals and foster local economic growth, helping communities become self-reliant and resilient.
- Provide humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), asylum seekers, and refugees, ensuring their basic needs are met and supporting their efforts to rebuild their lives.
- Advocate for both Cameroon’s national development agenda and international development frameworks, ensuring that the country’s progress aligns with global standards, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our ultimate vision is to see communities across Cameroon thriving in a balanced and sustainable environment, where every individual has the opportunity to improve their quality of life.
Our History
Impact Circle Cameroon (ICCA) was founded on 9th July 2023 by a group of passionate individuals who recognized the urgent need to address pressing development and humanitarian challenges in Cameroon. The founding members, driven by a shared vision for positive change, established the organization as a nationwide association under the provisions of Law No. 90/53 of 19 December 1990, which guarantees freedom of association in Cameroon.
Born out of the desire to support local communities and tackle issues such as poverty, environmental degradation, and displacement, ICCA quickly set its focus on promoting sustainable development. Early on, the organization recognized the importance of addressing both local and global challenges. Thus, we began advocating for the implementation of Cameroon’s national development agenda while integrating international development frameworks, including the SDGs, into our approach.
Although a young organization, Impact Circle Cameroon is built on a strong foundation of volunteerism and collaboration, supported by local communities and global partners. We have rapidly expanded our operations across all ten regions of Cameroon, reaching both urban and rural areas to deliver critical services and sustainable solutions.
ICCA has also been backed by the expertise of Impact Circle Germany e.V., a volunteer-led initiative co-founded by some of the founding members, which provides additional support to our mission. Through this partnership, we have enhanced our ability to develop programs that align with both national priorities and international best practices.
As we continue to grow, we remain committed to our mission of promoting development and humanitarian efforts that are inclusive, sustainable, and impactful.
